USWE partners industriall IndustriAll European Trade Union represents 7 million workers in the manufacturing, mining and energy sectors in Europe. IndustriAll Europe is officially recognised as the representative for European workers in the maritime technology sector in the Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee (SSDC) for shipbuilding and ship repair, where it works jointly with Sea Europe as representative of the sectoral employers. Identifying skills, and skills gaps, in the maritime technology sector continues to be a focus for the SSDC who have previously undertaken European projects to create a Skills Council.

USWE partners sea europe SEA Europe, the European Shipyards and Maritime Equipment Association, is the voice of the European maritime technology industry. SEA Europe promotes and supports European business enterprises which are involved in the building, construction, maintenance and repair of all types of ships and other relevant maritime structures, including the complete supply chain of systems, equipment and services. The EU 28 maritime technology industry is currently the leading global region in terms of aggregated production value of shipbuilding and ship systems production (EUR 112.5 Billion), and an important generator of employment (900.000 direct and indirect jobs). SEA Europe is the recognised social partner at European level and represents the employers at the Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee (SSDC) for shipbuilding and ship repair.

USWE partners tknika Tknika - Tknika is a centre promoted by the Deputy Ministry of Vocational Education and Training of the Education Department of the Basque Government. Innovation and applied research are at the core of Tknika in its ongoing efforts to place Basque Vocational Training at the European forefront. Tknika is modelled after some of the world’s most advanced vocational education and training centres. The centre has an in depth knowledge and expertise in the field of VET training design and delivery and experience in EU level cooperation. Tknika has also carried out several skill detection projects at national and EU level.
